Brandt Instruments represents nationally recognized manufacturers of instruments. The manufacturers we represent are carefully selected. We represent companies dedicated to quality products with a strong R & D program to ensure that the products that we represent are truly state of the art. We also look for market leaders. Brandt Instruments has expanded it's role to include becoming a training provider for the EPA Lead-Based Paint certification program and is currently providing a full course offering of with lead refresher training quarterly and initial training classes as needed. Courses include Lead Inspector, Risk Assessor, Supervisor, Project Designer and Worker. Courses are certified in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama. Contact Oklahoma DEQ for certifications. Our President: Ms. Deborah J. Brandt earned her Masters at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida in 1976, and has worked on both sides of the environmental industry, both as an urban/environmental planner as well as a sales representative and manager for environmental product lines. She worked for a number of years as an environmental and development planner in cities such as Gainesville, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia as well as a senior staff member with regional planning councils and private consultants. Since the early 1980’s she has worked with rep organizations until founding Brandt Instruments, Inc. in 1988. Her work from the 80's has included IAQ & HVAC surveys/consulting as well as IAQ presentations and seminars. With this insight, she is able to help her clients meet their goals and improve their productivity. Ms. Brandt is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and is a past president of the local New Orleans Chapter of ASHRAE 1997-1998. She is also a member of American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the local Deep South Chapter of AIHA. Owing to budget cuts, LSU discontinued the
EPA Lead-Based Paint certification program at the end of 2009. In order
to satisfy the ongoing demand for quality training, LSU turned over all
the lead training responsibilities to Deborah Brandt, who has been their
primary instructor for the lead courses since 1994. She continues to teach
